COVID 19 CONTROL CELL, GOVT. COLLEGE CHITTUR
ACTIVITY REPORT
In view of alarming increase in the Covid- 19 infections in our state our college has set up a Covid 19 control cell with an aim to prevent the spread of infections in our campus. Mr Jain Thomas, Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology was appointed as the convenor of the cell and all the Heads of the Departments are the members of the cell. We have adopted a 3 tier activities in the campus.
- Adherence to Covid- 19 prevention protocol. It included
- Limiting the entry to those who have been legally permitted at the college.
- Provisions for sanitizer, mask and washing facilities at the entrance of the College for those stakeholders who enter in the college.
- Keeping a register which recorded the names and address of those who entered the college every day.
- Thermal scanning of the persons who happen to enter in the college.
- Implementation of social distancing at the classrooms and campus.
- Limiting the number of students to 30 in the classroom during offline mode of learning.
- Vaccination drive.
- Motivating the faculties and students to get their vaccination on due time.
- Supportive medical help.
- Isolation of the students and staff with flu like symptoms and ensuring their testing and medical treatment in collaboration with Taluk hospital, Chittur.
